5 Ways to De-Stress Yourself

Dear Stress, let's break up! 
Here are 5 ways to de-stress yourself.

1) Take a leave from work. If you’re working like me, I highly recommend you file your one-year leave in the first month of the year. This will help you in planning your monthly activities. Like me, I already filed for my one-year leave on the first Friday of the month. This is the time where I send mostly my "ME Time". If you’re having a hard time scheduling your leave dates, you can also check the Philippine Holidays on this site so you can plan a longer vacation.

2) Eat happy food. When you are hungry your mind and body can’t function well. Right? So go on and eat your favorite food that you’ve been craving. It could be the creamy ice cream, the sweetest chocolate, the moistest cake, or the cheesiest pizza. But don’t eat all this stuff in one sitting (lolobo ka nyan!).  You still have to watch your food intake. Make sure you eat healthy foods with good fats such as omega-3 fatty acids. Sugar intake must be on a minimal basis. Eat dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate and don’t skip a meal.

3) Take a nap. It can boost your mood and increase your productivity. A 20 minutes nap can help refresh your mind. So might as well take a nap.

4) Buy something that makes you happy. It doesn’t matter if it's a too big or too small item. It could be the cutest pen, the biggest notebook, or the simplest white shirt. What matters here is that you’re satisfied and happy about the items you purchased. Just don’t spend too much. You still have to save money for other stuff.

5) Go on a trip. Set your mind away from work. It doesn’t matter where you want to go or what you want to do. It could be within your region, out of town, or out of the country. Or even go to the highest mountain or in the deepest seas. Just don’t forget to bring your positive attitude and your on-the-go Girlfriends with you. Just chill and feel the moment.
